"Keira I'm not taking sides you and Aunt Phoebe are just as bad as each other." She said as she glanced back though the song book that was still on her lap, She pushed some of her blonde hair hair back.

"Yes you are," Keira realised she hadn't told her how she had been taking sides, probably without knowing it but she had been taking sides all the same. Someone neutral would have looked at it from both point of views not just Phoebe's. "It's her fault she's under stress in the first place, I didn't start that."
"She refuses to sleep to wake up for Cole," Keira said the name with disgust. She is the one who changed my life without telling me until about a month after. She is the one who insists on self pity and she's the one who went off and got pregnant cause of you-know-what," she pointed out. "Thank goodness i didn't have telepathy then..."

"No I'm not...." Okay a pretty childish argument but Kaelyn didn't care she might be 19 but she could be childish when she wanted to be. She move all her hair to one side so that her hair hung over her right shoulder, usually her hair was either slightly wavy or curly. Today it was silky straight. "And I don't want to know." She did not want to know the details of what her Aunt got up to... well she was her aunt! It was times like that she was so glad none of her powers invaded anyones thoughts or feelings or anything like that because that would be a definite over share.

"Yes you are," Keira said. She agreed with Kaelyn, the arguement was childish. Why should that stop her though? She knew she was right so she was going to stick to that.
"Kaelyn, why do you think I'm glad I didn't have telepathy then." She sounded disgusted. This was her mother they were talking about after all. Who would want to know that about their mom?

"Not." She said with a smile. "Its bad enough that my mum got back together with Kyle and I still can't stand the guy." She was nice to him but didn't mean she had to like him. Kaelyn and Linda had given Kyle the worst time... tried every possible way to get rid of him but nothing worked.

"Kyle is your mom's soulmate Kaelyn,'' she responded. Kyle was a great uncle and a pretty good whitelighter. He always knew how to lead people in the right direction. "And it's pretty unfair of you to ruin that for her," she added softly. "I don't see why you don't like him."

"Still don't like him. Not my dad..... He shouldn't act like he is." She said as she pushed some of her hair behind her ear. 'And Aunt Phoebe say's Cole's her soulmate.' Kaelyn thought to herself, knowing that Keira would hear that though her telepathy. But Kaelyn and Linda had really given Kyle hell, Played the twin trick on him - he couldn't tell them apart. They tried orbing him away but he could orb back anyway. They had even orbed his butt down to purgatory so he could spend all of eternity getting a lovely sunburn.... but he orbed back before they had and Paige had found out what they did and received a lecture and one major headache.

Keira ignored the thought she got from Kaelyn. She had never heard Phoebe say that herself and it honestly wouldn't be wise for a mother to tell Keira that her dad wasn't her soulmate. For all Keira cared, Cole was a stranger to her. She didn't know him and she didn't want to. He was a demon. He had shown up after so many years and just bam. Him and Phoebe were back together. What sense did that honestly make?
"Well Kaelyn your dad died when you were only about two or three years old," Keira said simply, but not harshly. "He's just trying to be the dad that you need." Most daughters thought their mom was more important than their dad, but Keira's dad had been just as important to her as Phoebe was. She didn't love Phoebe any more than she loved her dad. "So you should just let him be." She paused reflectively. "And don't tell me or think that I should do the same with Cole because I already have a dad. Mom may have forgotten this but I haven't- he cursed not dead."

"No i had a dad, I don't need another one." She pointed out. "No one can replace my dad, and that is what Kyle is trying to do." Kaelyn may have only been 2 maybe 3 years old when her father was killed but she did remember him. At least she had a few memories of him, but the one day she remembered most was the day that he died. It haunted her nearly everyday, no one had asked if Kaelyn remembered her father... it was still a touchy subject.
Kaelyn and Linda had even been a little off with Melody at first. Kaelyn was worse.... she would just ignore that Melody was even there. Melody walked in a room... Kaelyn walked out of it. Henry JR was the same when it came to Melody and Kyle. Linda tried to get along with Melody but Kyle was another story they wouldn't even get along with him. When Linda died, Kaelyn tried to be nicer to Melody... she actually started to be there for her half sister.
"And I wasn't going to say that you should do the same with Cole." Kaelyn couldn't talk she didn't get along with her own step father and she didn't really like Cole either. She was only even considering to trust him for her Aunt Phoebe's sake.

"He's not trying to replace your dad any more than you're trying to replace Lilly," said Keira, trying a different technique. She was putting Kaelyn in Kyle's shoes in a way by saying that. Her thoughts told her then that Kaelyn did remember her dad. "Don't you dare act as if I don't know what it's like." Keira knew much better than Kaelyn how horrible it was to remember your father being gone. Only a few months ago had her uncle Leo told them that her dad wasn't dead, and that he was cursed. Keira had felt a mixture of shock and joy and when her mom had relayed the information to her. "I had fifteen years of memories with my dad...I know you miss yours but you were too young to really knew him even if you remember him, so why can't you just accept Kyle?"
Keira wished she could stay out of Kaelyn's thoughts but she couldn't, and it was just as hard to ignore. "Melody's your sister no matter if she's Kyle's daughter...she's still as much your half-sister as your mom is to my mom," she told Kaelyn. Keira hadn't known Melody's thoughts on it before Linda had died, but she had just needed one look as Melody's face to feel her pain at being cast out like that. It must have been horrible, and Keira hated even more that her best friend and closest cousin had caused that pain. She knew her and Lilly would have never done that...ever. From Natalie and Derek's thoughts she'd gathered that she had accepted them, and after Derek and Rachelle's birth she had accepted Cole as well. Not as her father but enough to get along with him.
"I hear your thoughts remember? I never heard my mom say Cole is her soulmate." Why would Phoebe tell Kaelyn and not Keira of Felicity? That didn't make sense. Not to Keira at least. "So where did you get that from?"

"I can't accept Kyle. Keira its my issue that I have with him I can't explain it." She said simply. "He's not my dad and I hate the fact that he is trying to be my dad. I had a father, I don't need another one. So I'll be nice to Kyle for my mum's sake at least but that doesn't mean I have to like him."
"And I do not need to know what I'm thinking." SHe said simply. "Next time you hear my thoughts keep them to yourself. I know you can't control it Keira but it really gets annoying after a while." Plus it wasn't fair, Kaelyn didn't have a power to invade her privacy like Keira could. "Aunt Phoebe didn't say that to me.... I over heard her talking to my mum and Aunt Piper."

"You don't need to to explain it," she replied, just as simply. Keira didn't like how the conversation was going at all. She seemed to be just...lashing out at everyone lately and she hated it, but it wasn't her fault. She was being unintentionally provoked but still provoked all the same, and she didn't like it. It was easy to get to Keira as long as you poked at her weak spots, something that demons tended to do but now Kaelyn was doing it whether she meant to or not.
She was accusing Keira about her telepathy when Keira had reminded her that she couldn't control it. She shouldn't even had to have pointed that out to Kaelyn more than once. So it was useful having it, but it didn't mean she liked it. When Kaelyn said that she had overheard Phoebe saying it to their aunts it hit her hard. She forgot all about the telepathy problems. "How can she have three daughters with my dad then and two years after he gets cursed she goes and says a freaking demon is her soulmate? And you can tell me that as if it's not something that would hurt me! This is my mom we're talking about!"

"Keira I don't know, I am not Aunt Phoebe...." She said looking up, she pushed some of her long blonde hair back. "You should talk to you because that is the only way you are going to get some answers and I am not going to interfere.... I am not allowed to interfere." Piper had made her promise that she wasn't going to interfere, Keira and Phoebe had to sort this out themselves even though they were both too stubborn for their own good.

"I should talk to myself?" she asked, confused. She noticed how Kaelyn disregarded her last two sentences, and she didn't like that. What sense would it make bringing it up? Wasn't as if she wanted to force Kaelyn to answer her or something, and if she brought it up that was what it would seem like. "Aunt Piper made you promise that?" she blurted and inwardly cursed herself for making that mistake. It hurt and angered her when she was accused of invading privacy and she had no doubt Kaelyn would do it again, because she didn't know what it felt like.

Kaelyn nodded. "I talk to myself all the time." no she wasn't crazy, Kaelyn meant talking to her evil self in the evil world. She actually got a lot of sense out of herself. Aunt Phoebe and Aunt Piper had cast a spell on a mirror so that they could see into the evil world and talk to their evil selves. But since Kaelyn and Keira had moved out, Kaelyn had accidently took the mirror with them and she hadn't got round to taking it back to the manor. No one knew that Kaelyn actually had the mirror. "Yes Aunt Piper made me promise to not interfere. Says I need to forcus on myself for a bit." So Keira telling her what she was thinking was really annoying but she couldn't do anything about it so she might as well just bite her tongue and accept it.
