Going in for surgery tag-Melody +Halliwell family

Two months after Linda and Lilly died, she'd been going in for therapy daily at the hospital, though no one in her family had known about it. She'd made it a point not to tell them so they wouldn't worry. Well she'd been feeling alright, so she decided to go out and demon hunt. Well she got herself in between two people with guns, one of them was her new charge, the other was just a bad person. Which unfortunately she'd just gotten out of a demonic battle too, just moments before the gun fight. Unfortunately, in an attempt to save her charge, she got hit with the cross-fire, which definitely didn't help. Her charge and the other man ran from the scene but not before, she got shot twice, she only hoped that she wouldn't end up in a wheelchair. The wounds were now life-threatening. She now had no other choice, she'd been sent to the hospital and was going in for surgery. She'd already been prepped and ready to go, she just hadn't gone in yet. She'd told the doctors not to inform anyone, because she didn't want to worry anyone. They told her they wouldn't, but she knew if any of the whitelighters in her family were sensing for her, they'd know where she was. She didn't want them to panic, especially Piper and Phoebe.

Melody had decided to make amends with her mother and went to search for her. She couldn't find her anywhere but sensed she was in trouble and orbed to where she sensed her which happened to be the hospital. She looked around in a panic searching for her mother. Luckily no one saw her orb in and she saw a nurse who told her where her mother was after she had told her who she was looking for. She rushed to her mothers side as tears immediately sprang to her eyes in fear of what would happen next.

"Hey." She said rather weakly. She was going to go into surgery soon and that wasn't going to help Melody's fear any, not after what had happened to Henry, and Linda and Lily. It wouldn't help anyone. She knew that anything was possible at the moment, but she didn't know what would happen. She knew that Melody shouldn't have been informed. She had specifically told them that no one in her family was to know about her condition.

"Mom please don't leave me." Melody said in a soft voice. As she watched her mother laying their her thoughts immediately focused on Linda and Lilly's death and how much it had hurt to loose them. She didn't want to loose her mother and it really frightened her to see her mother like that.

She looked at Melody and smiled slightly. "I know...but I'm not going anywhere....I'll be fine, I promise. The surgery that I'm going to have to have...it's common, and while there are some risks...I'm strong enough to deal with it. I just didn't want to worry you or anyone else..." She said, that's why she had told the doctors and nurses not to let her family know about her condition. She couldn't even imagine what would happen if Henry Jr., Kaelyn or anyone else were to show up. It would only get harder for her to deal with at the moment. She loved her family too much to see them in pain.

"What if something happens mom. I can't loose you now. I would die if I lost you so please don't give up on me." Melody said as tears continued to stream down her cheeks. It almost killed her when she lost Linda and she knew it would kill her if she lost her mother.

[Paige Matthews]

"Well the doctors will make sure that I stay right where I am and don't worry. You'll get wrinkles if you keep worrying so much." It hurt her to do much of anything she could barely even move let alone anything else at the moment, other than speaking. "I...will be just fine, besides we have more than enough whitelighters in our family to take care of everything." She said softly, she knew there were plenty of witches too, in their rather large family.

"I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I'll heal you myself if I have to." Melody whispered placing a kiss on her mothers cheek. "Mom promise me you won't give up. you do whatever it takes to pull through this alive."

[Paige Matthews]

"I'll be fine, now don't start worrying about me. Besides.....Piper and Phoebe will be here soon more than likely especially since I haven't been by the house yet...I've been busy...before I got shot...I was trying to save my charge from himself..." She didn't want to say what else she was saving him from because the doctors and everyone would think she was completely mental. Though, she was sure Melody would know the truth. "Listen, if something happens...I want you to be strong and try to handle everything, remember, death is only the beginning." Death, while it was usually quick and painless, sometimes when it was stretched out like in the middle of a surgery, it was sheer torture. She knew that Kyle and the others would be rather worried if they didn't hear from her soon. She knew that Kyle would be here if he knew.

"No mom I'll die if anything happens to you." Melody said in a choked up voice. She felt as if her whole life had crumbled around her. She felt terrible as she thought about how strained her relationship was with her mother an if her mother didn't recover she would never forgive herself.

She felt completely strange, she wondered where Kyle and her sisters were? If Melody had been able to sense her location why hadn't they? Did they really not like her anymore? She knew her relationships with all of them other than Kyle, had been really strained lately. She couldn't help it and now she was in alot of trouble. She stopped smiling, she was growing weaker by the moment. She couldn't control it even, she hoped she'd get through the surgery alright, but she had a bad feeling. Usually her instincts were right about something like this.

Melody's color started to drain out of her face when she saw how week her mother was getting weaker by the minute. "Mom hang in there please." Melody begged as she continued to watch her mother feeling completely helpless.

"Don't worry about me, I'll...I'll be fine." She said rather weakly. She was trying to keep as much strength as she possibly could, but the weaker she got the worse her chances would be when it came to the surgury which was supposed to happen within minutes. She knew Melody was really worried.

Melody knew her mother was getting weaker by the minute and she hated to watch her like that. Tears streamed down Melody's cheeks as she watched her mother fighting for her life. She couldn't let her mother die. She had to do whatever it took to save her mother's life.

"Hey, I'm going to be just fine...I've been through worse. It's not the first time that I've fought to stay alive, and it won't be the last either." True, she had been she'd nearly died how many times, seven that she could count, though that was before she'd had children. Lord only knows how many times since then. Piper, her elder sister, had been killed nine times, but then again that was after she had Wyatt and Chris, but before she had her daughter. Phoebe, however, out of her and her sisters had the most bad luck when it came to nearly dying, she has been almost dead completely, around eleven times, though that was before she had her children. Prue, she knew only had died three times, from what Phoebe and Piper had told her, the last one, however, she hadn't been able to be saved from, so she was now in heaven watching over them, alongside their mother and Grams. Unlike Prue; Piper, Phoebe, and herself had been able to still survive, though how that was possible she didn't know.
