Keira sat at the small, but comfortably so desk she had been given at the Bay Mirror. Her mother had gotten her a job as a Photographer, and a little after that hired Kaelyn as her assistant. For the past week and a half Keira hadn't talked to her mom...not even once. It was noticed quickly as she often went to her mother's office if she was free to, and talked to her.
A few of her fellow workers had given her looks when she passed Phoebe straight as if she were a complete stranger and went about her work but none of them ever voiced it yet. Today though she had attracted a lot more looks that she normally would, and compliments as well...and not because of her mom. She had dyed her hair blonde. Without so much as a word to anyone in her family about it before hand.
She knew with her brunette hair, and coffee eyes, she looked more like her mom than anyone. She hated facing herself in the mirror because of that. The answer was simple...change something. And she chose her hair color.

Phoebe was in her office, She knew that Piper was the strong one but she was close to breaking point and that wasn't fair on Piper. It didn't matter how worried she was, or that she was pregnant she was still a charmed one and she wasn't going to let Piper be two sisters down. She straightened her reading glasses as she read though one of the replies she put to one of her letters. She always read her replies at least twice after she had printed them out. She screwed the piece of paper up before throwing it in the bin, it landed with other pieces of screwed up paper. She took her glasses off before resting her head on her desk. "God give me a break..." She said to herself.

Keira looked at the pictures she had recently printed laid out in front of her. With each one, the lighting and emotions captured in them were remarkable. But she wasn't really seeing it. She looked up as one of her co-workers approached her.
"Love the new hair Keira," she said with a smile. "You look even more beautiful, just like your mom."
She walked away before Keira had a chance to do anything but give her a small smile. The smile was fake though. She was trying to look less like her mom. Not let it enhance the part of Phoebe in her even more. She pushed her chair back, nearly knocking over the guy behind her that was passing and headed over to where the person she worked with was to give her the pictures. She didn't quite reach her destination though, as she had to pass her mothers office for that.
She looked through the open shutters and saw her mom with her head resting on her desk. Keira felt a pang of guilt. That was partially her fault. She knew she shouldn't put her mother under stress at the time, but she wasn't the one who should apologise....right?" Her gaze lingered on her mom.

She sat up, glancing at her computer screen, She had to try to concentrate whether she wanted to or not..... well her job was one thing that was keeping her sane. Kaelyn had actually managed to get Phoebe's letters and office organized. She didn't know how she had coped without her. She put her glasses back on as she began to type again. She needed a drink of coffee but she was under strict instructions from Kaelyn to not drink it. She was busy that she didn't notice Keira at the window of her office

Keira spotted something of hers that was on her mother's desk...her diary. How could it have gotten there? She hadn't talked to her mother in longer than she had ever her whole life- she normally only stayed mad for a day, because she couldn't help talking to her. But her diary was a different story. She pulled the hair tie out of her hair so her hair fell loose over her shoulders.
Stuffing it in her pocket she pulled open the door to her mothers office angrily, and made sure it slammed shut behind them so no one would eavesdrop. She pointed at her diary which was hidden from her mother's site under a few letters. "What is that doing in here?" she demanded.

Phoebe's eyes barely left her computer screen as she typed, She had a lot of work to do and she couldn't concentrate. "What's what doing in here?" She asked glancing up at her daughter, She was going to say something about her hair but Phoebe could hardly talk she had done that many different things to her hair over the years. "Like your hair by the way." She moved some of her letters out of the way that littered her desk. It took her a while until she found what Keira was talking about. "Honestly I don't know... ask Kaelyn." She organized everything in her office not her. Phoebe didn't clean, she hated cleaning and she wasn't very organized.

Keira folded her arms. Why was her mother acting as if everything was normal? All it did was made Keira all the more upset. She turned her face away from Phoebe, refusing to look at her. She was being childish, she knew it, but she didn't care.

Phoebe sighed, she was only acting remotely like everything was normal because if she didn't then she would fall apart. And right now she couldn't afford to fall apart she had to be strong for her baby and everyone else. Now the outside she looked like she was coping but with all the stress she was under and feeling everyones emotions all the time was killing her. She wasn't sure about her own feelings anymore.

Had her mother lost it? And here Keira had thought she might had wanted to try and make things better between them. She snatched up the Diary, turned around, opened the door and slammed it shut behind her attracting the attention of much of her co-workers. She hoped, almost wished her mother would follow her. She wouldn't admit it but she missed Phoebe. Not to mention she had the power that killed Prue and only Kaelyn knew. She had made Kaelyn promise not to tell anyone yet. She needed Phoebe's support.

Phoebe closed her eyes as Keira slammed the door shut. She should has expected that. Keira was too much like her for her own good. She groaned before going after her, they needed to sort it out. Phoebe new that Keira needed her whether she wanted to admit that or not. She knew that Keira was hiding something from her as well. "Keira... I said I'm sorry, what more do you want?" Phoebe couldn't do anything till Keira wanted to talk to her.

She began walking back to her desk when she heard Phoebe's voice behind her. Aware that she was being watched Keira turned back around. "You never said you were sorry...." If she had, Keira had been to angry to acknowledge it and had unconsciously dismissed it.

"Actually I did several times." She said simply, she was aware that the office had gone quiet and was watching what was going on but she didn't care. "I didn't plan or ask for any of this to happen"

"Certainly seems like you planned it. If you and that demon hadn't gotten back together, our lives would've been fine," she said. "I hope you're happy that the family is all suffering, including you, for your happiness," she said, which was pretty harsh but the truth in Keira's mind.

"Oh yeah everyone's life would be fine except mine!" Phoebe had almost given up... if it hadn't have been for Cole then she would have given up. Arguing with Keira was worse than what it was like arguing with Prue and Phoebe didn't mess arguing with Prue one little bit. "But of course my happiness doesn't matter as long as everyone else is fine right? because everything I do is wrong. I'm the screw up... Just blame it on Phoebe. Everyone else does."

Keira tried hard to ignore the guilt inside of her. "How can you be so selfish?" she asked in disbelief, but she was no longer yelling so any eavesdroppers would have to strain to hear. How could her mom, Phoebe Halliwell who always put her daughters -now children as she had a son from the future- before herself? It didn't seem real. Keira wasn't being completely fair either.
Her mother had suffered after losing Coop, but she would have gotten over it. She wouldn't have remained in the past for the rest of her life. Keira hadn't even completely gotten over losing her dad, and Phoebe had simply picked herself up and gotten together with Cole after her first meeting with him since he had been banished to the void between life and death. How did that make sense? How could her mother have acted without thinking and in that one moment changed hers and Felicity's lives forever?
"Do you know where I saw Felicity last night? Do you know what she was thinking?" She was going to pause for her mother to answer but then another question came to her. "Do you even care?" She had much more to stay, but stayed silent for Phoebe to get a chance to answer all four questions.
