It was a sunny day, the skies as blue as the ocean. The cars were passing by rather swiftly on the bridge below. Out of thin air, a big cloud of dark smoke appeared. With that smoke, a tall man dressed in all black appeared. His chestnut hair blew in the breeze as he looked around. A smile crossed his slightly parted lips as he looked around, below at the cars rushing by. Damien looked around for Keira. She wasn't here yet, that was for sure. He had asked her to meet him here.
Damien had only done this once before, when he was summoned by Henry Halliwell-Mitchell. He allowed a member of the Halliwell family once in a while to ask him about the future, and what it would hold. Especially after the meeting with Henry, when he agreed to bring someone back. What no one else knew was that they would have to choose, and it wil be for a trade. Today, Keira was going to ask some questions and he was going to answer them to the best that he could. He waited for Keira as he peered over the side of the bridge.

First came a small red heart, then Keira appeared on the opposite side of the bridge from where Damien was looking for her, with a small flash of light. She had been at a small cafe in San Francisco. A couple had been having problems and she had needed solve it. She still hadn't gotten used to the time stopping part. Once she had been distracted and accidentally made a guy wear on a dress before he went to meet his girlfriend. The elders had been furious at her for that.
Spotting the angel of death she walked over to him. Henry hadn't told anyone yet not wanting to get their hopes up, but she had heard it with her telepathy. He didn't know that she had found out yet. She hadn't told anyone. But didn't death always knew? "Listen. I want some answers and I want them now."

Damien turned around as he heard a familiar voice. Keira was standing behind him, a look that was all too familiar in her eye. He already knew why she was here, that much he did know. After all, he was death. He gave a smirk as he looked her over. He wasn't surprised when he heard her statement. "Ah, yes. I see you have not forgotten the deal I made with young Henry" he said as he looked at her, a bit of curiosity in his eyes.
He briefly looked over the bridge, but then turned back to her. "Well then I guess I do owe you some explanations" he said with a slight smirk. "Alright" he said after a moment, "Go ahead and ask me your questions" he said, taking in a deep breath and letting it out again.

Keira folded her arms. She had never liked death and wasn't about to pretend she did. She didn't hate him either, he just annoyed her with the whole fact that he was neutral. Plus, he was death...who would like death? He was the only that took away souls and lives all for some stupid cosmic design.
"What did you mean when you told Henry that?" she asked. She already knew he wouldn't elaborate further...another thing he didn't like about death. He'd only do that if it was an extreme case, because otherwise it would mean he was helping good. Besides, her telepathy told her he wasn't going to tell her.

Damien turned away from her for a moment. He thought back to when Henry had confronted him about bringing someone back. He also remembered the oath that Damien had given, saying that he would indeed follow through with his promise as long as Henry kept it a secret. He snapped back out of his memory and turned back to Keira. "You know I can't tell you that" he said as he looked at her, and then got that feeling again. Any time he denied someone information, he felt this little tinge of guilt.
He looked at her, wondering why she wanted to know. "If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to know Keira?" he asked as a curious look came across his eyes. His mouth twisted up into the way it did when he was in thought.

Keira smirked. "Are you really asking me that?" she asked. Of-course she would want to know who was coming back! She never knew her uncle Henry, but she loved Linda. Admittedly, if she had a choice she would chose Lilly in less than a heartbeat. She knew Kaelyn would choose Linda and Paige would probably chose Henry. Keira....she wanted her sister back. Something told her she wouldn't get to chose though.
"After I read Henry's mind...of course I would want more information on it," she added. "Why did you tell him that in the first place? ...Why offer something so big?" The only reason she could guess was that evil was getting too much of an upper hand and the balance needed to be...balanced.

Damine smirked when Keira said she had read Henry's mind. "I knew one of you couldn't stay away from temptaion for long" he said as he looked at her. He never did underestimate her. He continued after a moment. "If you read far enough back, you would see that he summoned me, and asked me to make the deal" he said as he awaited her response. The Halliwells never got the full story, but yet they came to him to get answers. He hated when they did that.
"You know Keira, I can't tell you some things. That's just how the grand design works. But if you ask the right questions, I can answer them" he said as the smirk came off his face as he looked at her.

Keira stared at him. "You're not as smart as you like to seem then," she said in a hard voice. She didn't know she was treating him similar to Prue had. Well she couldn't control reading minds, it wasn't something she could just put on pause any more than her mom could with empathy! "How could I get the full story if he wasn't thinking about the 'full story'?" she said a bit defensively.
Keira rolled her eyes when he said that he could only tell her certain things depending on the question she asked. "Or you could just cut the crap and tell me now," she suggested.

Damien gave his dry laugh when Keira said she couldn't get the full story if he wasn't thinking about it. Didn't she know there are other ways to get things? Then he heard her last comment. He loved to stick by the grand design of all things. But sometimes, the rules had to be broken. He certainly broke a few rules agreeing to bring someone back in the first place. But what Henry didn't know, is that he would be taking a life to trade for that soul. But h elooked at her, and that feeling of guilt came back. He gave a short sigh as he spoke, "I suppose I could tell you" he said, adding, "It's not like I haven't broken rules before" but he said it just above a whisper.
"A couple months ago, your cousin Henry summoned me to him. he was worried on how your family was taking the deaths of Henry, Linda and Lilly. So he proposed a deal. It wasn't the first time someone had asked me if I would make a deal with him. I heard what he had to say, and I agreed to bring someone back" he said as he finished. So he didn't exactly tell her the whole story, but she woudl find that out later. "That's it" he said, turning to face Keira again.

Keira was surprised when he consented to telling her but she didn't complain. It was what she wanted anyway, so she stayed silent as he talked. When he was done she couldn't believe that was it. "That's it? No who, what, when and why?" she asked. "No wait...why?" Any anger she had felt earlier was forgotten now, as she was distracted by her interest in why.
"You're neutral..." she said, thinking hard. Weren't neutral beings supposed to be...well, neutral? Why would he bring back someone good? Henry was good because he was a Police Officer, and had helped them with any problems they had with the law, due to being tricked magically. Lilly...well she was a cupid for crying out loud, and Linda was a whitelighter. All of them were purely good, so why would he want to bring back one of them? Unless evil had the upper hand...

"The only thing that I can tell you is that it will be soon. But I am afraid I can't tell you who or where" he said, a remorseful smile on his face. Damien was a little shocked at Keira's question. No one had ever asked him why he did things, he just did them. He couldn't exactly tell her he felt guilty for taking three of her relatives, now could he? He was supposed to be neutral, not supposed to take sides. That didn't mean he couldn't help one side more than the other. Besides, evil did sort of have an upper hand....they had three Halliwells out of the way. One was a Cupid, so that took a toll on a lot of people besides their family, one was a Whitelighter, so now there was one less angel in the world, and one was a mortal. Just because he was a mortal, it doesn't mean that he didn't do some good. He was a parole officer after all.
He thought for a few minutes, and then answered. "Let em put it this way to you. Yes, I'm neutral. But that doesn't mean I think what evil does is right, and vice versa. Just because I can't pick a side, that doesn't mean I can't keep the grand design in tact. The grand design is there to balance out good and evil, and it's been a little off balance lately. It's my job to fix it, so that's what I'm doing, fixing it" he said, even though he knew it was a little too general.

"Don't give me that look!" she snapped when he looked at her remorsefully. If he wasn't being aggravating she couldn't be mad at him, and she wanted to be mad at him. When he said it was because of the 'grand design' he was bringing back someone, she couldn't help but smirk. I knew it...

Damien wasn't exactly paying attention to Keira at the moment. He was busy looking over the side at the world below. SO when she spoke, he jumped. It took a lot to scare him, especially since he IS death itself. He looked at her, the color returning to his already pale skin. He noticed that she had a smirk on her face. He had a feeling it was because he mentioned the grand design. Anytime he brought it up, somebody always laughed. He never understood why they laughed, he just knew they did.
He looked at her, a look of wonder crossing his face. "If I may ask" he said, glancing at her and then continuing, "Why do you laugh?" he said. He wondered why everyone always laughed, and this time he might be able to figure out why.

Keira raised an eyebrow at that question. It wasn't exactly a question people normally asked her. Well she had no reason not to answer, and he had answered her questions."I like being right," she replied simply. She watched the wonder on his face... and she couldn't see what was so wondrous about that. She guessed that death just got lonely or something as people were unable to see him...except witches could when they were either about to die or casted a spell. The latter being what Keira did, thankfully.
