Keira lay on the bed in her bedroom. She had gotten used to her new room. It lacked memories but it was what she had longed for. A new beginning, and she liked that. She could give this room new memories, memories that would have nothing of her sister or cousin that she had lost. She still had many things in her room, photos and belongings but it wasn't in a good way. She missed Lilly but she needed to get on with her life right?
She closed her eyes and listened to the loud pounding of the rain on her window and the rest of the building. She stayed like that for an hour until it eased up. By then she was sure she wasn't going to fall asleep anytime soon. Glancing at her alarm clock she saw it was nearly midnight. Getting up she changed her clothes and grabbing her keys went down to her car and getting in it began driving.
She could teleport easily but if she did she would feel as if she were following in the footsteps of what had happened a bit over five years ago. The last time she had been to the cemetery this late it had been not to long after Lilly had died and she would rather now wake those memories by feeling as if she were reliving it, so driving was one way to make it different.
Soon she parked her car and got out, and slowly, steadily, made her way to a now familiar route to Lilly's grave. By the time she reached the dry mousoleum she was soaking wet herself. Shivering slightly she sat down in front of the grave and ran a hand over it. feeling the surface as if someone it made it more real Lilly would know she was there.
"Lilly...i'm sorry, I failed," she whispered. "I failed to save you...I failed to be a good sister to Felicity and I failed to help mom in he time of need. I didn't mean too." Before she would have cried her heart out but now, she had cried too much and that wasn't what she had come here to do. She had come here to gather herself up. She wouldn't hear or see Lilly but she knew her little sister would hear her and that was all she needed.
Getting up she continued looking at Lilly's grave which was now slightly damp in some areas as Keira was wet. No longer shivering she smiled before turning to leave.

Lately, late trips to the cementary had been frequent. Try to go to sleep, fail, walk to the cementary, and walk the familiar path to the tree where she had buried her brother. Then, she just started at the spot. What could she say? If her brother could her he'd think she were ridiculous. She had killed him, afterall, why should she have anything to say to him?
Tonight though. As she started walking to her brother's tree she saw another girl. She bit her lip wondering if she should go near her. There was no reason to, really, she was a stranger. And the girl was probably doing the same thing as her, mourning a lost person. As she walked closer to the tree and the girl though she saw that the girl was smiling and Isabella frowned. Who looked happy in a cementary?
Her curiosity gave in and she walked up to the girl. "Hi... Do I know you from somewhere?" asked Isabella politely and most importantly convincingly. The truth was Isabella had never seen the girl in her life. She couldn't just go up to someone without an excuse.

Keira knew as she stepped out of the mousoleum that if anyone saw the shadowed smile on her face they might think something was wrong. It was really a rare occasion for someone to smile at a cemetery of all places. She had smiled though because she just knew, somehow, that Lilly could hear her. Maybe even death couldn't seperate such a link between the two sisters who had been so close. Keira had been closer to Lilly than even to her parents, she couldn't explain it.
She leaned against a tree next to her, closing her eyes and staying that way. She loved the tranquil feeling in the air. For some reason demons loved cemeterys a lot of the time so sometimes her visits to the place was disturbed and rarely in a good way. She opened her eyes though when she heard a girl's voice speaking to her. The question took a few moments to register as she regained her bearings. "No, I don't think so," she replied kindly.
To be honest it wasn't the first time someone had approached her out of the blue. People had before for various reasons, both magical and non-magical. The non-magical reason was mainly to ask if she was related to Phoebe Halliwell, and occasionsionally Piper Halliwell. Her mom because she was well known by now for her job and Keira resembled her so much, despite dyeing her hair blonde (Lilly might have killed her for doing that) and Piper because she was often seen around Halliwell Restaurant. Magical reasons were obvious- she was a Halliwell.
She corrected her answer. "You might know me but I'm sorry I don't think I know you," she said in the same sweet tone of voice. The tone she always used with people she didn't know. If they turned out to be a demon well...the result would be different though.

Despite the fact he knew he shouldn't appear now, had left him...well he didn't care so much. So as he had shimmered into the graveyard, out of sight, behind the Mausoleum, where he had spent so much time...had left him feeling a little more or less like he had once been, powerful, strong, like nothing could affect him other than being vanquished. Though he had been through that once, and was sure he could go through it again, though it would mean more pain, than he would give to his worst enemy, well with the exception of demons, most witches had wanted him dead by now. More demons wanted him dead though because he had betrayed everything they had ever been about.
He spotted Keira Halliwell, Phoebe's daughter through her relationship with the cupid who had vanished without a trace, most likely he also had been killed, though he had no idea why or how that was even possible. He also saw Isabella Somane, and he knew that if anything he had to make sure that Keira wasn't getting herself into danger, even if she could handle herself in battle. He had made a promise to Phoebe that he wouldn't let the kids, from her relationship with Coop get hurt. Despite the fact that Keira and her siblings were not his kids, he still felt like he should do his best to make sure that they didn't end up getting hurt or killed. Phoebe had been through too much and didn't deserve to lose anyone else, though he knew his presence around Keira would only make things worse. He was trying now, more than ever to remain Good.
He walked out from where he had been standing and knew more than likely Keira would see him first since she was facing the direction of where he was, but Isabella her back was facing him at the moment, which was probably a pretty good thing at the moment, given the number of demons and other beings who did want him dead. Still, it was a risk he was willing to take at the moment, especially given the fact Keira probably would never trust him. He didn't know what to think of what Isabella was up to, though all demons would probably try to kill him to collect what he knew was probably still a rather large bounty.

"No, that's ok, I have no idea who you are, either. I just thought it was a bit odd to see someone smiling in a cementary, that's your personal battle I guess," Isabella said joking at the last part. She got a uncomfortable feeling as if she were being watched, she had always been good at telling that, her brother had said it was like she had eyes in the back of her head.
Trying to shake it off she looked at the girl as closely as she could and got the feeling that she did recognize her. Isabella couldn't tell in the dark though."At least, I don't think I know you."
Isabella still couldn't shake the feeling off though and she started to feel uncomfortable. That wasn't good though, most of the time when she felt uncomfortable she tended to slip from visibility and she doubted she could tell the girl it was a slip of the light since she doubted she was magic. Isabella looked to her right and her eyes turned pure black as she used her X-ray vision through a couple trees but could still only see more grabes. Since the moon was hidden behind heavy clouds, and she had her face turned away from the the girl, Isabella doubted Keira had seen the change in her eyes, and if she had noticed she probably would think that was a trick of the light. Isabella's eyes turned back to normal and she looked back at the girl wondering if she'd offer her name.

Keira sense Cole's presence and knew why he was there. She supressed the urge to roll her eyes. Why couldn't he just leave her alone? She hated him, end of story...couldn't he understand that? "I know...pretty rare for someone to smile here," she replied, brushing back the lock of blonde hair that always fell in her face and bothered her.
As she knew what Isabella was thinking, Keira wondered if she did know her despite the answer. "You might..." she said, unsure of what else she could say. Keira noticed it had stopped raining. Had she been in the mousoleum that long? Her thought's were distracted by Isabella's. She had realised they were being watched. Keira hoped she would ignore it and maybe then Cole would leave. It was what she wanted anyway. She didn't need help protecting herself, and she didn't want help from him.
She didn't see Isabella's eyes, but the absence of constant thoughts made her feel as though Isabella was concentrating on something. The thoughts started back though when Isabella wondered if Keira was going to offer her name. Only then she had realised she didn't yet. "I'm Keira, by the way. Keira...Halliwell." Her reaction to the name would say loud and clear if she was magical or not, with her thoughts.

Isabella smiled lightly at Keira's comment that you don't really see anyone around there smiling. The way she had said "You might..." almost made Isabella frown, that was a bit of a cryptic answer. Isabella didn't like those kinds of answers, she like straight-foward answers. Made things much easier.
As soon as Keira offered her name Isabella didn't make much of an answer. Just raised an eyebrow. Her thoughts had gone back to the guy she had just met a few days ago in the Underworld. His name had been Derek Halliwell-Turner but Keira's name missed a second last name. Isabella thought maybe they were cousins. She remembered that Derek hadn't had much of a problem with her being a demon, well not enough to vanquish her, and wondered if Keira would be the same.
"Yeah," Isabella responded finally. "I've heard of you, that's for sure. I'm Isabella Somane." That's when it hit Isabella. Derek and Keira sort of resembled each other. Sure they were cousins, and she had met some people that look very alike their cousins, but that wasn't usually the case. Isabella shook the thought away not really thinking that was a question you should ask to strangers. Especially if it was a demon talking to a witch and Isabella wasn't sure if she shold let Keira find out or not. She got the prickly feeling that she was being watched again but decided to ignore it once again. It was probably her being paranoid.

Keira forced herself not to laugh when Isabella realised the way Keira's answer didn't clearly say what she was thinking. She did that a lot recently. Not on purpose, but sometimes she forgot that not everyone could hear thoughts. Keira took in a sharp breath when Isabella was reminded of someone she had met in in the Underworld...Derek. She had met Derek in the Underworld? Did that mean she was a demon? Of course I miss a second last name...I'm not Cole's daughter, thank God.
Keira smiled when she heard that Derek hadn't minded her being a demon. From what little she knew of Derek, he would probably try to turn Isabella good. Wait. Then she realised what she had just heard. She had trouble sorting it out as it got mixed up with Isabella's other thoughts though. She thought Derek was her cousin? Wrong They were half-siblings. She tried to focus on the main fact that seemed to be slipping away and losing itself in a crowd of thoughts.
She's a demon. I'm talking to a demon, in a cemetery, and she hasn't attacked me yet. Keira took a deep breath. "Okay, let's just drop pretences," she said lowing her voice considerably as she didn't want Cole to hear her. "I'm a witch, you're a demon...why haven't you attacked me yet? Demons love attacking me for my powers, and it's no secret to the demons that know me that i'm not hard to turn evil so...what are you playing at?" Isabella liked straight-forward after all didn't she?

After Keira was done speaking Isabella found herself staring at the girl in front of her. Did she just say what Isabella thought she said? Well, obviously. How had she gone from cryptic to...that? Finally, the only answer she could come up with after her shock was, "Well, it was a secret to me but I guess it isn't anymore."
Actually, after the shock of havign her mind read without even knowing it Isabella thought it was a sweet power. Isabella would never steal it of-course. She realized then that Keira was hearing all of her thoughts and must be getting very confused. "I'm not evil," Isabella said finally. Remembering what she had been thinking earlier she added, "Plus, I met Derek. If I were evil you think I'd still be alive? He would have tried torturing me for news of his sister or whatever."
Isabella wasn't going to tell her why she was evil but then thoughts of her brother had to slip into her mind and she found herself glancing towards the tree where she had buried her brother next to. She bit her lip lightly and turning her gaze back to Keira she quietly said, "Anyway to put your power on pause?"

Keira laughed. She found her shock amusing. Keira always seemed to surprise people Isabella was smart, she realised. Not that many people realised she had read their minds when she did that. They just thought they had let out little things or signs that she knew.
"Thanks," she said rather absently when Isabella thought it was a sweet power. Her cheeks reddened slightly when she realised Isabella hadn't said that out loud. Thankfully she probably wouldn't see that as being that it was nearly midnight, it was dark.
Any hint of a smile on Keira's face disappeared when Isabella mentioned Rachelle. "He doesn't need to do that. My mom located her already," she stated, folding her arms. Why would Derek want information on Rachelle? From what she had heard (or read from her mom's mind) Rachelle seemed to be coming more to them lately. She wasn't sure why the change of heart in her evil half-sister but it was there.
Keira all but jumped in surprise at a memory of Isabella. She was carrying ashes. Her brother's ashes? Keira's eyes went to the tree she had previously been leaning on, where Isabella had buried the ashes. How could someone do that? Kill thier own brother? Isabella was a demon. She wasn't evil but she had killed her own brother?
For some reason Keira felt very lightheaded as she got mental images of anyone in her family doing that. She knew it was impossible, even for Rachelle. She forced herself not to judge Isabella by that action and yell at her, vanquish her, whatever to get her out of her sight. She blinked, looking slightly dazed, as Isabella distracted her by asking her a question. The question seemed like gibberish but a few seconds later she understood it. "I wish..."

"Oh," said Isabella lightly and then said, "Whatever, I don't want to talk about Derek." Then, before she could stop it memories of the fight she and Derek had swept into her mind. Not only did she hate the memory of that fight because she thought she'd actually get along with him but because all of a sudden he looked so demon like. Of-course, Isabella didn't know that he rarely ever showed the demon inside him.
That when remembered that Keira could still read her thoughts. By the dazed look on her face from the memory of her brother that Keira saw and the memory that Isabella had just been thinking of she could already guess that Keira wouldn't exactly believe that she wasn't evil. It started to make her a bit nervously and she subconsciously took a few steps back from Keira.
"Look, I know that...I know that I'm making it harder and harder for you to believe me..." Isabella started but trailed off not knowing how to finish. How could she? She had killed her own, yes two years ago, but then just a few days ago she fought with a witch no matter that he was half demon. Isabella wasn't going to deny any of those things, sure she's lied before, but she's never made a direct lie. And the times she had it hadn't been with someone who could so easily realize that she was lying and Keira fit into that category with her telepathy.

He didn't mind so much that Keira would ignore him it was only natural. He then heard Isabella say she wasn't evil and that surprised him a bit, instead of sticking around, he knew he might as well shimmer out, especially since Keira didn't trust him or want him there, and he didn't blame her for that. He looked at Isabella and walked out to where she could see him as well, of course, he was going to shimmer out sooner or later, he had no other choice. First he would have to make sure that the mausoleum was secure, considering that place had become a second home for him since he first met Phoebe. He'd spent alot of time there, it was a place where he could go and think, and not have to worry since other demons couldn't sense him in the cemetary or at least it would be harder for them to do so. He just looked over at Isabella and Keira, and then walked toward the doors for the mausoleum. He turned his focus back on the doors.
He wasn't the least bit interested in causing trouble for Keira, though for Isabella that would probably be a different story. He didn't trust other demons given the fact that there was probably still a good sized bounty for his head, not that he cared. He'd always been able to get out of the demonic wasteland and even escaped from the plane between life and death. All he knew was he should do whatever he could so that Keira didn't end up like Lilly and Linda had, because that was too cruel. No one deserved that least of all those children.

"You brought him up," Keira pointed out when Isabella said she didn't want to talk about Derek, when Keira hadn't even been the one to mention him. Keira jumped slightly when Isabella's memories of a fight with Derek came into her thoughts. She had not jumped because of them arguing. She had suspected that something like that happened. She had jumped because she'd never seen Derek look like that before...he looked like a demon! His eyes even turned black during part of it. That was not the Derek she knew, and despite barely knowing him she found it hard to believe that was really Derek. Then she reminded herself he was half demon after all so it wasn't that surprising, not when you thought about it.
She hadn't noticed it but because of the anger passed between Isabella and Derek in the memory, while Keira wasn't angry at Isabella because she knew very well that Derek had been responsible for it too, she realised that the wind had picked up considerably around them. It wasn't strong...she wasn't powerful enough for it to be strong yet but it was blowing about both of their hair so Keira reached up and tied hers into a pony tail. She noticed Isabella had taken a few steps back and her thoughts relayed that it was because she thought Keira might doubt that she wasn't evil. Keira didn't judge people like that though. She didn't know Isabella so who would she be to judge her from her thoughts, something Keira shouldn't even have seen?
"I believe you," she said crisply, cutting in when she realised Isabella wasn't sure how to finish her own statement. "Unless to do something to make me think otherwise," she added. Sure arguing with Derek was messing with Keira's family, but considering that Derek had been guilty in that argument too, she wasn't going to hold it against her. By then the wind had died down to a slight breeze. Her attention was taken by Cole's thoughts- he had put himself in Isabella's view. "Ignore him," she said quietly. She didn't want to talk to Cole right now and if Isabella acknowledged him she would be forced too.

When Keira pointed out that she brought up Derek, Isabella shrugged. It didn't really matter to her, she just preferred not to talk about him, and if she had to it'd be better kept at a minimum. She felt the wind pick up around and frowned. It hadn't been all that windy when she first went out and she heavily suspected that that was Keira's doing and then felt guilty because she remembered Keira could hear her every thought.
As Keira started speaking Isabella reached for her hair starting to get annoyed by it and then the wind went down. Now she was almost positively sure it was Keira causing it but she didn't say anything as she thought of an answer to that. 'I won't' seemed like a lame answer, and not very convincing either. Just then she something move out of the corner of her eye and her eyes widened as Cole Turner himself came into her view.
Isabella shivered, and not because of the wind, either. This was the man that had a ridiculously large bounty over his head. He was the man everyone knew the story of. He was practically invincible for heaven't sake! The fame of him wasn't what made her shiver though, it was more of the fact that that kind of power made her nervous. Just like Derek's would have if she hadn't been so angry.
She snapped back to when Keira said to ignore him. Isabella looked at her eyes and ignored Cole as best as she could. It made her nervous as hell ad the worst part was that Keira was one person she couldn't hide those vulnerabilities from. It made her feel exposed and she didn't like it at all. She felt ashamed of her fear, actually.
"And what exactly would I do?" Isabella asked sighing as she shook her head. She felt herself giving up with the act. It was all just as well. She wasn't strong, she was weak. Isabella should have accepted that from the beginning instead of always being "smart". At this point, she didn't even think she was that.

Keira rolled her eye's at Isabella's thoughts. "He is not invincible," Keira assured her. Cole had been brought back by something terribly evil, but that didn't make him invincible. "Not for Halliwells at least," she added. Her mom and aunts, the Charmed ones were the most powerful Halliwells around. Even without active powers, if that situation ever came upon them. Their children- including Keira- might have better powers but that didn't exactly make them more powerful.
"Don't be ashamed of your fear..." She wondered if Isabella was getting annoyed of the fact that someone could read her thoughts. But it was true- Isabella shouldn't be ashamed of fear. Without fear how could there be courage? Demons that thought themselves 'fearless' were simply cowards shielded behind their power and cruelty.
