Keira sat at behind her desk watching some pictures, but not really seeing them. Lately many people seemed to be getting her angry, but that was only because her emotions were often on edge those days. Having a new, dangerous power didn't help either. She wished she could get rid of it.
She pushed back a strand of her now blonde hair. A few days ago she had seen Kaelyn make the ground swallow her ex boyfriend. Maybe the ground really could swallow you up when you're ashamed if you have Kaelyn around. When she had last talked to Kaelyn it hadn't ended to well. Since that day, completely by chance they hadn't seen eachother, as Keira was normally out or if it was late, asleep by the time Kaelyn came back.
Kaelyn had been taken up with her Geokinesis and obviously hadn't noticed Keira's change in hair color. Well both of them had been taken up with the power Kaelyn's opinions on her hair had been the last thing on her mind so she didn't mind being ignored. What she did mind was the way Kaelyn had ignored her advice and everything she had said. Sure, she was panicking but she wouldn't have been if she had just listened to Keira.
Wasn't as if she had blocked out all sound in her panic either, she had replied to Paige and Paige had ignored Keira as well. It was bothering her more than it would anyone else, but those who knew her well knew Keira couldn't stand being ignored. She didn't like being the center of attention, but she hated being ignored even more than someone who was used to the spotlight. She wasn't sure why, she had always been like that but hey, no one was perfect.

The last time Keira had spoken to Kaelyn she had been having one of her panic attacks - which was why it wasn't a good idea to make Kaelyn panic. When she panicked her powers went all funny and she didn't breathe properly on the worst occasions she didn't breathe at all and someone had to make her jump to get her to start breathing again. There was only a few people that could snap her out of it when she panicked. Linda could snap her out of it, Piper, Phoebe and Paige could but apart from that no one else seemed to manage it. Everyone else's words that tried to calm her down just didn't seem to register with her.
It was just by coincidence that Kaelyn and Keira hadn't seen each other, Kaelyn had been working a lot so she was usually out of the door before Keira even got up.... or Keira was asleep when she got back home or Keira was out. The reason that Kaelyn had been working a lot was since Phoebe had come put of hospital, she had to have a lot of bed rest and no stress so Kaelyn had drawn the short straw and was Phoebe's ghost writer. Writing the column was a huge job and Kaelyn didn't think she was up to it but she liked to help people and it meant Aunt Phoebe had a little less stress and Kaelyn still got to help a lot of people if they chose to take the advice she gave.
People would never guessed how Kaelyn was coping.... She barely had a few hours sleep each night, She still went to University and kept well on top of all her work, getting top marks in it all. Was doing her own work as well as ghost writing for Phoebe. Looked after her charges, saved the innocents that wanted saving, even the innocents that didn't want saving and vanquished the odd demon that came after her. So she barely had time for herself and she was tired but she was happy. Kaelyn always put others before herself..... Aunt Piper always said that Kaelyn was going to work herself to death.
She was typing a few replies out on her lap top, yawning slightly. The writing on the screen kept going fuzzy but that wasn't because she was tired she should be wearing her reading glasses but she couldn't find them. She had put them down somewhere she just couldn't remember where she put them. She didn't like wearing them anyway. She sighed, eventually giving up trying to write without them... it was impossible. She stood up and went to the office door, she leant against the door frame. "Anyone seen my glasses..." She asked, everyone stayed quiet. "Anyone at all..?"

Keira was snapped out of her thoughts when she saw Kaelyn lean out of Phoebe's doorway, asking if anyone had seen her glasses. She didn't look up though, not wanting to meet Kaelyn's eyes. Everyone that knew Keira enough to have gotten into an arguement with her before, or witness her getting into one, knew that Keira was never the first one to talk. Even if she simply hadn't left on the best terms she let the person approach her first.
Besides, as far as she knew, Kaelyn couldn't stand not being on good terms with anyone for too long right? Keira knew Kaelyn had gotten one of her panic attacks but it wasn't her fault. She had thought it over and realised something she didn't like. From Kaelyn's actions, Keira got the feeling that Kaelyn was over-estimating her powers. And actions spoke louder than words. Keira was the exact opposite of that...she underestimated her powers.
She sighed, irritated, when the strand of hair again fell in her face and she pushed it back with the rest of her blond hair, willing it to stay in it's place this time. She took a sip of the coffee in front of her, still not focusing on the pictures.

Kaelyn sighed, knowing that no one was answering on purpose. Kaelyn frequently mis-placed her glasses, just so she didn't have to wear them, Sometimes she did it on purpose this time however she really had lost them.... she wouldn't admit out loud that she had lost them, she just couldn't find them. She glanced in Keira's direction, knowing she was avoiding her eye on purpose. Keira never went to talk to anyone first.... ever. She let them make the first move.
She went to get more coffee, it was the only thing keeping her awake but she wasn't complaining. Kaelyn's problem she didn't complain and she didn't know how to say 'no.' Coming back from the coffee machine she, as always brought a coffee for everyone. When she first started working as Phoebe's assistant she was mostly the coffee girl. "Decaf for Elise, Espresso for Kim, Cappuccino for Linda and Mocha Latte for Kate." She picked up the last two cups of coffee and took them over to Keira's desk. "How about a peace offering... brought you coffee." She said with a weak smile. She hated not been on good terms with someone for too long and not many people could stay mad with Kaelyn.

Keira drained out the last bit of her coffee and was about to go for more when Kaelyn came over with one. She returned the smile and accepted it. Why is it that Kaelyn always knew what to do so people wouldn't stay mad at her for long? She just wished her mom could do the same thing instead of taking time for herself, something that Kaelyn was helping her with by being her 'ghost writer'.
She took a sip of the coffee. "So...notice the color change in my hair?" she asked casually. She didn't even bother this time to push back her hair as it, once again, fell out of place. What she wanted to ask was how Kaelyn's power was coming along...but she didn't want to bring it up first thing.

Kaelyn smiled, she always seemed to know how to make someone stop being mad at her. SHe wished that she could help Keira and Aunt Phoebe but Aunt Piper had already made Kaelyn promise to not interfere, they had to sort things out on their own. And unfortunately Kaelyn kept her promises even if she did want to help.
"How can I not notice?" She said as she pulled a chair over to Keira's desk and sat down. "It's nice.... Just don't go as blonde as me." She said cheekily, in some light Kaelyn's hair looked almost silvery white.

"Don't worry...I won't. I'm not aiming to look like you," she said just as cheekily. Her voice became normal again at her next words. "I just think i'd prefer to look more like...me" she said. She was naturally a lot like her mom, but she didn't want that. She wanted to look different from her mom.
Besides, white-blonde hair suited Kaelyn because it was her natural hair color and it looked ncie with her complextion. She pushed aside the papers and rest her cup there. There were two other empty cups close by. Keira had needed something to keep her awake.

"Not wanting to look like Aunt Phoebe anymore?" Stupid question, Kaelyn already knew the answer. Kaelyn didn't have that problem, she could change her appearance in a heart beat and the only same appearance wise that Kaelyn had to her mother was the pale complexion. "You haven't seen my glasses have you? I can't find them.... again." She said simply. Keira knew that Kaelyn lost her glasses on purpose most of the time just so she didn't have to wear them.

"Obviously," she smirked, taking another sip of her coffee. She felt a wave of exhaustion. Maybe after drinking it so much the past few weeks it was starting to have less and less effect on her. She sighed. Either that or she was just too tired to be revived. Maybe a bit of both, now that she thought about it. A week ago she had started studying...she definitely had a lot of reading to do. It was a good thing she liked to read
"Nope, haven't seen them." She would have accused her of losing it on purpose, (again) but she knew that wasn't the case this time. Reading minds told her a lot. Especially since she could knew what a demon was going to do before it attacked. That and now no one could ever sneaked up on her. "Did you check in your pocket?"

"This is stupid, I need to get along with the work and I can't because i can barely read the words on the computer screen without them." Usually she could just read a book, or words of a computer screen without her glasses but today she couldn't.... probably because she was exhausted. "And my glasses are not in my pocket." She said turning the pockets of her jeans inside out. She yawned as she pushed her pockets back in the right way. "I probably just put them down and forgotten where i put them." She did that often when she was tired.
She noticed that Keira looked as tired as what Kaelyn felt. "And you need to go home and get some rest.... and don't argue with me."

"Are you kidding me? I have to go with an interviewer in half an hour to take pictures of some author of some book," she said, as if she didn't look to forward to it. Well she didn't! She was tired, and her pictures came out excellent no matter how she was feeling but she would rather take more interesting pictures. No, instead the more experienced photographer got the better jobs.

"Keira your exhausted anyone can see that" She said simply, though she was exhausted herself but with everything she had been doing lately it was no surprise that she was exhausted she was only getting about 4 hours sleep each night if that. On top of that she was going to university, doing her own work, doing Phoebe's work, vanquishing demons, saving innocents, helping her charges, been there for her family. She just didn't have time for herself because she was too busy helping everyone else.

Keira sighed exasperatedly. "Oh come on...so are you," she pointed out. She knew Kaelyn was thinking about what she had been doing, and Keira herself also had the same things minus Phoebe's work. "I'm not taking a rest until you take a rest," she challenged, taking another sip of coffee.

"I am not." She said forcing a smile. "Besides I don't have time to rest." So Aunt Piper said that if Kaelyn didn't slow down then she was going to end up working herself to death. But Kaelyn liked to help people, she didn't really know how to slow down.

"Aunt Piper worries a lot remember?" That was one thing that had never changed about their aunt over the years no matter what they had gone though. She worried about everyone she cared for. They could take care of themselves...she would worry about them even if they were the most powerful beings in the world, which none of them were. Keira was glad she wasn't...well she hoped she wasn't powerful. Most people thought her crazy for that, even Kaelyn, but she just want to be powerful, end of story.
"But that doesn't mean that she's worrying for no reason most of the time." She paused and thought it over. "Well it is for no reason most of the time," she corrected herself, "But sometimes shes right like this time." She had just read Kaelyn's mind but hey, she had to get used to it.
